About Me


Helen is a Conflict Management Practitioner, Mediator, Workplace Investigator, Independent Complaint Facilitator and the founder of Neutral 3rd: Conflict Management for the Workplace. Helen has developed her practice to assist workplace parties manage conflict and foster respectful, civil, safe and compliant workplaces. Helen has extensive experience in mediating workplace disputes, conducting workplace investigations, facilitating discussions, mediating human rights disputes and coaching workplace parties through conflict.


Helen’s experience and expertise in conflict management comes from her 30-year career in labour relations, human resource management and human rights dispute resolution. Helen has worked as a Union Representative, a Human Resource Professional and has served as a Mediator for the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.  Helen’s experience working on both sides of the labour-management table gives her a balanced perspective on workplace dynamics and conflict management.
