About Us

The Varsity Community Garden (VCG) is a volunteer-managed community garden that promotes sustainable gardening practices, innovative garden-based learning, and environmental conservation.
All our gardeners and volunteers are registered members of the Varsity Community Garden Club (VCGC), which is free to join.

We have 36 plots for individuals to rent, and several group plots. There are common plots such as the herb gardens, the potato and pumpkin patch, and several flower pots that are tended by volunteers to make them flourish.

The garden community holds "Weeding Wednesdays" at 7pm as a time for like minded gardeners to get together and socialize. They also have a "Harvest Potluck" in the fall. Gardeners are asked to sign up for at least one of the 9 volunteer opportunities to help maintain the garden.

For more information about the garden or to inquire about a plot, please visit the website or email plotadmin@varsitycommunitygarden.ca.
