The Acadia Community Garden and Art Society was created to provide residents with a place to practice their gardening in Calgary's neighborhood of Acadia. We offer affordable garden space rental, community events, arts festivals, picnics, and a connection to like minded individuals in the greater Calgary area. The gardeners are active with a season opening and closing gathering as well as fundraising events throughout the season. Canmore Community Gardening Society (CCGS) is a place where community members can enjoy gardening in a town that has little private space for gardening. We are an organic garden with no pesticides or insecticides. This community garden at the Southwood Library was started in 2012 and has had many successful seasons.The garden is well supported by countless community volunteers. The gardeners share with "Garden Angel" duties which includes daily watering of community beds, library beds, and helping those on vacation.
