The Acadia Community Garden and Art Society was created to provide residents with a place to practice their gardening in Calgary's neighborhood of Acadia. We offer affordable garden space rental, community events, arts festivals, picnics, and a connection to like minded individuals in the greater Calgary area. The gardeners are active with a season opening and closing gathering as well as fundraising events throughout the season. The Banff Trail Community Garden was established in 2010 and has been a great place for community members to grow fresh vegetables, get to know community members of all ages, and contribute to creating a beautiful space to be enjoyed by all. The Bankview Community Garden is in Upper Buckmaster Park near 23rd Avenue and 16th Street SW. It was created in 2011 to be a peaceful and productive space where neighbours can meet, relax and grow food for themselves. The garden provides fresh produce and plants and the opportunity for satisfying labour, and serves to create a sense of neighborhood improvement, a sense of community, and a connection to the environment.One of the plots is designated a "Charity Plot" where community garden members grow fresh produce for the Calgary Food Bank and the Spinz-A-Round Program.There are twenty 10'x10' plots which lease for the season on a first-come, first-serve basis. The rooftop garden, located on the top of the BRCA Community Hall, began in the spring of 2014.  The garden includes a communal garden and 15 ( /-) individual plots that can be rented for a season. Our community garden is about bringing the community together, getting to know your neighbours and providing a beautiful space in our community for everyone to enjoy. Canmore Community Gardening Society (CCGS) is a place where community members can enjoy gardening in a town that has little private space for gardening. We are an organic garden with no pesticides or insecticides. As a wildlife friendly garden we maintain a 10 foot fence, we do not grow fruit in order not to attract bears and we are pollinator friendly. Updated July 2020.

This community garden at the Southwood Library was started in 2012 and has had many successful seasons.The garden is well supported by countless community volunteers. The gardeners share with "Garden Angel" duties which includes daily watering of community beds, library beds, and helping those on vacation. Additional hours are expected to help with socials, distributing compost, mulching, weeding and garbage removal. Volunteering on committees or executive roles are encouraged.
