EllaForbes-Chilibeck works as a mediator, lawyer and investigator in labour,employment, and human rights cases at the federal and provincial levels. Ellais a member of the ADR Institute of Ontario. Ella will complete the HarvardMediation Intensive program (Harvard Law School) in the fall of 2023 and thereceive her Certificate in Organizational Coaching (UBC) in the spring of 2024.Called to the Ontario Bar (2006) and the Nunavut Bar (2010), Ella has practicedexclusively in the areas of employment, labour and human rights both in privatepractice and in academia.

Ella's approach to dispute resolution focuses on craftingeffective and practical solutions.  Sheis a certified workplace investigator and has appeared before the OntarioSuperior Court of Justice, the Federal Court, both the Canada and the OntarioLabour Boards as well as the Canadian and Ontarian Human Rights tribunals andthe Public Sector Integrity Commission.

Before attending law school, Ella enjoyed a successfulcareer as a behavioural consultant, mediating conflict, developing successfulcoping skills and effective accommodation strategies to assist individuals withmental, physical, and emotional challenges.
