Philip Kashap has been Director of the Huntsville (Ontario) Suzuki School of Music since 2012. Before this; he and his family lived in Saskatoon for 26 years. In Saskatoon Philip taught at the University of Saskatchewan and the Saskatoon Suzuki Program; which he also directed for five years. Philip grew up near Boston and San Francisco; and attended Yale University where he received his BA and MM. Laurie received her undergraduate music degree from the University of Western Ontario studying with Dana Pomerants-Mazurkevich and her Masters degree from the University of Toronto. She has taught Suzuki violin for 35+ years in her home studio and at workshops and institutes.
