About Me

Qualified Arbitrator  –  35 Years of Practical Experience and Senior Leadership  -  Guelph / KW / Cambridge / Hamilton / Burlington / Milton

Acting in his positions as corporate president and other senior executive roles, Rob has demonstrated high business acumen and combines this with years of tested judgement for his role as arbitrator. His attainment of senior levels of leadership grew from his capacity to gain insight and recognize patterns across complex situations. His background is anchored in strong listening and credibility evaluation, assessing information objectively, and the ability to both understand and seek the facts required for any decision at hand.

Rob’s practical experience supports his quick understanding of the circumstances and positions in which people find themselves, often during times of heightened stress and pressure. Having led organizations with thousands of employees and led major negotiations, he needed to hear and understand the representations of people with various interests and beliefs, both inside the organization and in dealings with the outside world.

Examples of Rob’s extensive experience, attained largely in the international aviation, transportation, logistics, IT, governmental and tech start-up sectors include leadership of:

-     Hundreds of contract negotiations and implementations for seven to nine figure commercial relationships, national and international, across multiple sectors;

-    Customer operations and interface for highly visible organization and consumer relations covering over 25 million customers per year;

-     Negotiations, positioning and operational execution within multi-billion dollar governmental and community-based quasi-governmental civil infrastructure projects;

-  Employee and workplace management and relations, both outside of and within the collective agreement process for both interests and rights, covering multi-thousand person employee groups;

-     Corporate mergers and the associated negotiations, contracts, organizational structure, and operationalization of the merger, including the significant human implications; and

-     Start-ups in various sectors and guidance of their business structures, ownership, and early business plans.
