In addition to holding the qualified mediator certification,Troy is also a Certified registered Safety professional and certifiedharassment investigator. In his day job,Troy is the Senior Officer, Health and Safety for the Canadian Union of PublicEmployees which represents 740,000 members in almost all sectors. Troy hasbeen involved with many mediations resulting from harassment complaints, especiallyrelated to the new Federal violence and harassment regulations. Much of his daily work revolves around assistingworkplaces in creating psychologically safe workplaces where workers can work withoutfear, and productive conflict is managed, and negative conflict avoided orcorrected. This includes proactively identifing and resolve situations of ongoing workplace conflict between members after formal incident investigations (workplace resotration).
