I fell in love with film during college and moved to LA shortly after graduation. I worked as a production assistant on features and then as an assistant to screenwriter Pat Proft, which convinced me I wanted to write. From there, I got an MFA in Screenwriting from USC. Subsequently, I did coverage on scripts for 20th Century Fox which led to a job as a creative executive in their main film division. A move back east, marriage and children took me away from the film business for a long while but, a few years ago, I started writing again and I'm having a blast with it. I love to blend comedy and drama and my adult characters frequently have “coming of age” storylines. I am currently adapting a book my grandfather wrote about escaping from a prison camp in Italy during World War Two.
