Jainaba Seckan is a Gambian-American screenwriter. She is an alum of the Black List Annual Lab and Black List Georgia List. In addition to writing Jainaba is a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) professional.

I'm an emerging Vietnamese-American screenwriter.  I love writing stories about identity, culture, family, and mental health.

I am a theater practitioner and new-ish film maker. I also serve as a creative consultant and am accustomed to wearing many hats in the creative process. 

I am currently producing and hosting a kid's science tv show that I'm working on getting it to be National.  I am also in the works of creating a tv show of two women lawyers who solve crimes in the DMV.  It's based on a New York Times bestseller by Debbi Mack.
