I've been a WIFV member since 2018 which has majorly helped me in moving forward towards my career that I now have as a doctoral candidate at George Mason University where I specialize in using cinema as a cultural studies tool. I am constantly trying to find avenues of exhibition for under-seen films and am currently in the process of creating a national and accessible archive of Puerto Rican cinema. Hopefully by the end of my program, there will be offices in DC and PR that will be dedicated towards this. I love film, I love supporting filmmakers, and I am so thankful for everything this organization has provided me already.
