Patricia Aufderheide is University Professor of Communication Studies in the School of Communication at American University in Washington, D.C. She founded the School's Center for Media & Social Impact, where she continues as Senior Research Fellow. I write feature, short, and episodic screenplays.  My favorite project is a noir junior series featuring a 12-year-old Asian American private eye in a world where age is no barrier to career.  She holds her own against the seedy underbelly of Dark Town and talks to her pet parrot too much.  Comps are Bored to Death and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.  I'm a math professor professionally, but I have an MFA in creative writing and have specialized in poetry and experimental fiction in addition to screenplays.  I love to work collaboratively!
