Colin Smith has an exemplary record of engineering practice and leadership, most recently with the Province of BC. A recent project, the 21 km and $1+ billion Millennium Line extension to Greater Vancouver's SkyTrain received Engineering Achievement and Project of the Year awards from the Canadian Council of Professional Engineers (CCPE) and the Project Management Institute of Canada respectively. Colin also has a long record of providing leadership of our profession, including terms as president of CCPE and APEGBC. Colin Smith was awarded Canada's 125th Anniversary of Confederation Medal in 1992 and the Queen's Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals in 2002 and 2012 respectively for his community and voluntary service.
