About Me


Dr. Dalai is working as a Professor of Chemical Engineering and Canada Research Chair in Bioenergy and Environmentally Friendly Chemical Processing at the University of Saskatchewan. He has been recognized for outstanding contributions to the field of engineering, including: heterogeneous catalyst developments for gas to liquid (GTL) technologies; biodiesel production and applications; hydrogen/syngas production from waste materials; nanotechnology; hydroprocessing of gas oils; value-added products from biomass; and clean coal and gas processing technologies. Professor Dalai has provided significant contributions in these areas through extensive publications in international journals and conference proceedings, and invited conference presentations. As a mentor he has supervised over 100 graduate and post-graduate students. He has published over 450 journal papers with over 18000 citations and H-index of 65. He has contributed to many committees and conferences, has been a board member of several international journals and active in many networks and societies. He has received several national and international awards.He is a life member of the Indian Institute of Engineers, the Indian Catalysis Society, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), and an active member of the AIChE, American Chemical Society (ACS), Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE), and the Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC). In addition to CAE fellowship, he is also fellow of CIC, EIC, AIChE, IIChE, RSC (Canada) and RSC (UK).
