About Me

Filmmaker Elizabeth Jacobs is the producer, director, and subject of The Stolen Children. Her independent projects focus on giving voice to the voiceless, with emphasis on issues surrounding identity, culture, and mental health.

Elizabeth was a May 2022 - Aug 2022 Documentary Labs & Artist Support Intern within Sundance Institute’s documentary film program. She also worked in August 2022 as an intern in development at Nomadica Films and Echo Lake Entertainment. She gained hands-on production experience from her roles as a sound op, gaffer, colorist, and graphic designer for UCLA Film and Television Summer Institute short films, Goodbye, Norma Jeane, and Epiphany, as well as production assistant experience for A24 Film’s feature Janet Planet in 2022

Jacobs’ personal student film work The 3 Connections - Rue’s Lifeline was recognized by UMASS Amherst by awarding her the Michael S. Roif Award. This was her third Michael S. Roif Award nomination and she finally won before she graduated. She continues to amplify underrepresented voices in her work and intends The Stolen Children to reach a wide audience.
