About Me
Areeb Zuaiter is a multinational filmmaker whose work focuses on art, identity, and social issues. She holds an MA in Film and Video from American University. Zuaiter had previously worked at the Associated Press, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, and the Royal Film Commission - Jordan. She also taught History of Documentary, Film Production and Visual Literacy at the American University and Howard University. Her short films and thesis projects have been nominated and awarded in festivals around the world. Zuaiter had recently finalized her upcoming short narrative film. In addition to working on her debut feature documentary, Zuaiter heads the Programming Department of Amman International Film Festival in Amman, Jordan.
