Professional Biography


Sherry M. Todd, PhD, LPC, ATR-BC, CTS, CT, CFT, BCSCR, TFTdx earned her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Old Dominion University and her MS in Art Therapy from Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Todd is the Program Director for the CACREP Accredited Masters in Counseling Programs at Regent University. Her service missions include Clinical Director of the Tidewater Emergency Medical Services' (TEMS) Critical Incident Stress Management Team, Faculty Fellow with Regent's Child Trauma Institute, and a Premier Speaker with the National Center for Crisis Management. As a Mental Health Practitioner in an inner city school system, Sherry has over a decade of experience with school crisis response and suicidality. She has program development experience in school suicide prevention, crisis management, and the treatment of traumatic stress. She received the 2009 Making a Difference Award from TEMS, and was the 2008 recipient of the Chi Sigma Iota National Outstanding Supervisor / Practitioner Award. She is an approved instructor for eight International Critical Incident Stress Foundation CISM courses and serves on two advisory boards and a certification committee. Dr. Todd is available for supervision, consultation, training, and brief trauma treatment.
