Michele McCarthy is a respected member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario and Canada. She is on the roster for the Toronto Commercial Arbitration Society serving the Greater Toronto/Hamilton Area as well as Southern Ontario. 

With over 30 years’ experience as a commercial litigator at Fraser & Beatty and as the Chief Legal Officer for global and Canadian banks, Michele brings expertise in corporate restructuring, financial services, transportation, mining, and real estate to her arbitration practice.  Delivering an evidence-based methodology, she emphasizes strong ethical governance as part of her arbitration procedures.  As the President & CEO of Independent Review Inc., that specializes in corporate governance solutions for the mutual fund industry, Michele is at the forefront of best practices. 

Michele holds and has held positions as a Chair/Board Director of financial services and mining companies as well as numerous not-for-profit organizations in the healthcare, education and cultural fields. 

Having assisted many parties, she looks forward to providing more people with affordable solutions to their disputes within an arbitration process that is timely and efficient.
