Dr Bérard has training from McGill University, and Harvard Medical School. She is full professor of perinatal epidemiology at the University of Montreal, Faculty of Pharmacy, and CHU Ste-Justine; and adjunct professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Université Claude Bernard, Lyon, France. Dr Bérard holds a Canada Research Chair Tier 1 on Medications and Pregnancy; is a Fellow of the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology, and a Birth Defects Society voting member. Dr Bérard has published over 500 scientific papers/abstracts; and recently received a Most Distinguished Scientist Award from the Birth Defects Society, and a Research Career Award from AFPC.
