Grégoire, Jean-Pierre

About Me

Dr Jean-Pierre Grégoire’s work has changed competencies and roles of pharmacists as health professionals. He pioneered the teaching of pharmacoepidemiology in a faculty of pharmacy. As Dean of Pharmacy at Laval University, he led the creation of a competency-based entry-level PharmD program innovative in both design and instructional methods. As a researcher, he contributed to better characterize adherence to drug treatments. As president of the Quebec Order of Pharmacists, he led a change in pharmacy legislation that requires Quebec pharmacies to have a private section for counselling, and reinforced the deontology code that led pharmacists to stop selling tobacco products.
