Dr. Majid Pourostad is an Internationally Trained Lawyer (ITL). He obtained the degree of Professional LLM in International Business Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, completed NCA Program and got the Certificate of Qualification. Majid Pourostad has just started Licensing Process at Law Society of Ontario. Majid was also Visiting Scholar at Osgoode Hall Law School (September 2019 - April 2020) hosted by Professor Janet Walker. He currently is a member of Toronto Commercial Arbitration Society (TCAS) and has completed TCAS's Gold Standard Course (September 2017 - May 2018) for certification as a Qualified Arbitrator in Ontario as well as a Member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) Majid has operated a Private Law Practice for nearly 20 years, dedicated to meeting the complex legal needs of corporations and business enterprises in the field of International Business Law. He has already taken the degrees of LLB, LLM & PhD in Private Law from The University of Tehran and before moving to Canada he taught Civil Procedure, Law of Evidence, International Commercial Arbitration, Comparative Law. Majid has been a Visiting Researcher at The International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) in Rome-Italy on ALI-UNIDROIT's Joint Project of The Principles of International Civil Procedure in 2004 as well as Visiting Fellow at The Max-Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg-Germany in 2005 and 2009.
