Mr. Evans has had an exceptional career in space engineering research and development and space policy and planning including acting as project leader for Canada's contribution to the international space station program. He was President of the Canadian Space Agency from 1994 to 2001and is a member of Professional Engineers Ontario and the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute. He is a member of the Boards of Directors of UrtheCast  Corporation and exactEarth Corporation.  He is also on the Defence Advisory Board and the Space Advisory Board.  He is a member of the Order of Canada and has received honorary degrees from Queen’s University and York University.
