About Me


The Mathematical Representation and Analysis of a Light Hydrocarbon Refining Network authored in 1967 was a pioneering publication of modelling live chemical processes which led to a process control revolution in the petrochemical and process industries. Twenty-five years of professional involvement locally and nationally led to election as President, Canadian Society of Chemical Engineering (CSChE). As a founder of the Lawrence House Centre for the Arts, he has contributed to the cultural development of his community, recognized by selection to the Sarnia Mayor's honour list. He has been a lead contributor to the CAE's book 'Canada: Winning as a Sustainable Energy Superpower' and has spoken and written extensively on key Canadian energy issues.
Mary and Walter Petryschuk are co-owners of "Conservation @ Hickory Creek", a property of forest (35 acres) and tall grass prairie (5 acres) located in Hillsboro, Plympton-Wyoming, Ontario.  It is a legacy property reflecting the long-term investment for their future generations.
