About Me

Michel Pettigrew has demonstrated exceptional creativity and leadership in his field of flow-induced vibrations in nuclear components, initially while at AECL Chalk River and subsequenlly as NSERC/AECL/lBWC Industrial Research Chair at Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal. He has published over 360 technical papers and reports and his design guidelines for avoiding damaging flow-induced vibrations in nuclear components, such as steam generators and fuel, are used world wide. His work was instrumental in making CANDU nuclear steam generators amongst the most reliable in the world and for helping Babcock and Wilcox Canada become a leading world supplier of this equipment.
