I was born in 1949 in Montreal
I moved to Toronto in 1971 to attend law school at OsgoodeHall
I graduated law school in 1974 and articled in Ottawa atSoloway Wright.
I founded the law of Charles and Merovitz in 1976 and thisfirm is the predecessor of Merovitz Potechin LLP.
I have been a litigator with my firm for 47 years since founding my lawfirm. In my litigation practice, at various times I had an emphasis ondifferent areas of the law. I have always dealt with business disputes but atvarious times in my practice I had an emphasis on wrongful dismissal,insolvency, franchising and in the last 25 years I was in charge of the Estatesand Beneficiary Rights Group which I created in my firm.
I have been involved as a litigant in countless mediations.I have conducted 2 or 3 mediations as a mediator.
