About Me


Diana has over 35 years of civil litigation experience, having appeared before all levels of court including the Ontario Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada.   Diana has both private practise and in house government experience, most recently as the Director of Litigation for the City of Toronto.  Diana’s areas of expertise include: personal injury claims, police claims, building claims, contract disputes, neighbour disputes, Occupiers’ Liability Act claims, professional liability claims. 

Diana has extensive practical experience acting as counsel on a broad range of civil litigation including participating in numerous mediations. Diana has had training as a mediator and recently completed the Mediating Disputes program at Harvard Law School.   Diana brings this experience to assist parties in resolving their disputes through mediation.

Diana has a B.A. (York University-Glendon College), LL.B. (University of Ottawa), LL.M.(Monash University-Australia).   Diana was an adjunct professor of law at the University of Toronto from 2014- 2022 teaching Municipal Government Lawyering, is the co-author of the text Professional Liability in Canada and was recognized for her achievements with the OBA Award of Excellence in Municipal Law in 2020.
