About Me


Prof. K. Tim Law of Carleton University has contributed significantly to advancing the state of the art of geotechnical engineering applied to natural hazard mitigation, through landslide prevention and earthquake characterization. He has served as a specialist consultant for large utilities including Hydro Quebec and Ontario Hydro, and for major consulting firms at home and abroad. He has been active in learned societies in Canada and overseas, and has supervised numerous graduate students, many of them now holding leading positions in engineering practice.
