Dr. Lindberg, after a distinguished career as a research officer in the National Aeronautical Establishment, was named Project Manager with complete responsibility for the development of the Space Shuttle Attached Remote Manipulator System better known as the Canadarm. He later became director of the National Aeronautical Establishment and chief scientist engineer for the Canadian Space Agency.
