Based on the award winning children's book, The Year of the Perfect Christmas Tree by Gloria Houston, the store features products made by participants in a project that has received wide acclaim. The project focuses on re-building livelihoods of local citizens after the loss of manufacturing jobs by licensing handmade products based on the book. In addition, a percentage of sales goes towards scholarships for local high schools students.
