The Home of the Perfect Christmas Tree Store features locally made items including pottery, weavings, jewelry, apparel, accessories and home decor. Based on the award winning children's book, The Year of the Perfect Christmas Tree by Gloria Houston, the store features products made by participants in a project that has received wide acclaim. The project focuses on re-building livelihoods of local citizens after the loss of manufacturing jobs by licensing handmade products based on the book. In addition, a percentage of sales goes towards scholarships for local high schools students.
