I've wanted to write for a living since second grade when I started writing poetry and I'm fortunate to live out my childhood dreams. An award-winning journalist for 21 years, I started freelancing in 2010. After winning a contest, my debut novel, Malcolm and Me, was published in 2020 to glowing reviews. My screenplays have led to two residencies and I currently serve as director of the Virginia Screenwriters Forum. I am currently writing a pilot based on my debut novel. I will soon direct my second short film that I co-wrote with my husband.

Rebecca Mlinek chairs the Carver Center literary artsdepartment in Towson, MD.  She is a 2020 Saul Zaentz Fellow, and the 2019Roadmap Writers Top Tier winner.  Publication credits include F(r)ictionMagazine and the now-rebranded B(oink) Zine.  Somebody Killed Mom,an audio drama which she wrote and produced, is available now on majorpodcast platforms.Rebecca is currently working on a novel about haunting unrequitedlove, and is in post-production on the Stowe Story Labs fiscally sponsoredproject, the narrative short: The Familiar.

Hi, I'm Pamela Hoevel. I'm an aspring scriptwriter with one black comedy script *almost* under my belt (is a script ever really done?) and another one percolating up to the surface. My sense of humor is a bit twisted, which is probably why I'm drawn to writing dark humor. As far as movies and television go, some of my favorites are Fargo, Dexter, This is 40, Other People, The Fundamentals of Caring, Little Miss Sunshine, Juno, any pretty much anything true crime.
