The John Howard Society of
Durham Region's mission is to reduce the impact of crime and its causes by
providing a spectrum of effective prevention and intervention program.
Currently, our Ajax-Pickering Office: provides support counseling services,
groups for parenting and anger management, assistance with Record Suspensions
(Pardons), facilitates the After School Jobs for Youth Program, provides
in-home support and interventions to families of teens with ongoing problematic
behaviours, facilitates groups for youth referred by the police, and refer to
other internal and external programs to help meet the diverse needs of our
clients.
