Emily is a documentary filmmaker, cinematographer and producer based in Baltimore, MD. From dismal medical treatment in Palestine to climate change's impact on youth, she's drawn to people-first stories that illuminate greater systemic issues and unseen perspectives. Her films have screened at national film festivals such SF Film, Hot Springs, and Big Sky. Her work has appeared on Netflix, PBS, Frontline, The New Yorker VICE, and CBS. She is a graduate of UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism's Documentary Program. She is currently in produciton on her first feature documentary which examines the role of pretrial detention through the stories of 4 people who hold the power to transform the system from the inside.
