The Durham Region Unemployed Help Centre (DRUHC), a non-profit organization established in 1983 with locations in Pickering and Oshawa, has a mandate to; provide resources to employers including assisting employers in meeting their hiring needs. The DRUHC also specializes in assisting unemployed/ underemployed job seekers meet their employment goals. DRUHC has a 99% employer satisfaction rate and 80% of the job seekers served have a successful outcome. The DRUHC has been ISO registered since 2004 and is a four time recipient of the Minister’s Award for Excellence. DRUHC is funded by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities, Employment Ontario and Citizenship Immigration Canada.
