Makami Engineering Group Ltd. sustains a diverse portfolio of impressive projects and continues to expand throughout North America. Our Professional Engineering Services include Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering and Inspections, Structural Steel Detailing (fabrication drawings), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), 3D Laser Scanning and Laser Tracker. Recently we have added the DJI Mattrice 300 RTK that is utilized along with the FlyabilityElios 2 drone depending on which is needed to enable us to complete structural inspections in those hard to access areas.

OUR SERVICES
Much of the experience base at Makami Engineering Group Ltd. has been performing maintenance engineering services on specialty structures and equipment. This type of engineering service has been our forte. We provide quick response and accurate, comprehensive engineering to get plant / equipment back up and running. Using this type of background also enables us to provide new designs which are not only efficient and economical, but also consider potential maintenance issues and pitfalls which may occur “down the road” during normal operation.
Utilizing the industry leading Leica Scan Station P50, Makami Engineering Group has the unique ability to perform 3D Laser Scanning of existing building infrastructure and equipment integrating this data directly into our design 3D models. This technology gives us the ability to produce highly “field accurate” designs accommodating actual field conditions and dimensions.
With the acquisition of a Leica Absolute Tracker AT402, Makami Engineering Group can take precision measurements. The AT402is Leica’s most accurate measuring solution now and it complements our workflow of taking high accuracy measurements over long ranges and setting up control points in plants.
Makami performs structural inspections of buildings, stacks and other industrial or commercial profiles using drone technology. Currently we have 2 drone models including DJI Mattrice 300 RTK and the Flyability Elios2 Drone. The DJI Mattrice allows Makami Group to capture data with accuracy within 1 to 1.5 centimeters, gather survey grade photography used in photogrammetry and create outstanding photos to be used later in inspections. The Elios 2 allows us to replay flight videos along telemetry with thermal camera images to navigate between points of interest to complete the structural inspections with the data accumulated and processed. In addition, the Albris allows for triple view imaging which enables us to capture clear and stabilised imagery with state-of-the-art situational awareness information to be processed. These advanced qualities help us to make upto date inspections in difficult to access places for the deliverable to the client.
We also provideWelding Engineering and Inspection Services backed by Professional Engineers who are certified to act as Welding Engineers as defined by CSA W47.1. Furthermore, Makami Engineering Group Ltd. also employs Professional Engineers certified as Welding Engineers in accordance with the International Institute of Welding (IIW). The IIW Welding Engineer provides not only procedures for welding, but also provides design and analysis of welds to ensure they can carry their intended loads.
Our inspection services include large and small fabrication projects and are performed under the direction of Level III visual inspectors certified in accordance with CSAW178.2.
