A graduate of Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Binutu co-founded Cruefilms, an independent production company where she has since produced stories for the Smithsonian Institute, Under Armour, the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, in addition to the pilot episode for HIDDEN IN FULL VIEW which (at the time of this writing) is in development. When she isn’t producing, Katrina can be found strength training at the gym or enjoying local eateries that often lead her back to the gym.

I am a third-generation African-American veteran with over 25 years’ experience in counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and legislative/policy strategy. This work has taken me around the world and suffused my screenplays with a diverse global perspective. As a result, my stories often feature minority lead characters and uniquely blend military, espionage, special operations, and political elements into the Sci-Fi and Fantasy genres.
