Barry Sessle is Professor and Canada Research Chair at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry and Faculty of Medicine. He joined the University of Toronto in 1971 and was Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry from 1990 to 2001. He is an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, and has served as President of the International Association for the Study of Pain, and President of both the International and the Canadian Associations for Dental Research.
