The Acadia Community Garden and Art Society was created to provide residents with a place to practice their gardening in Calgary's neighborhood of Acadia. We offer affordable garden space rental, community events, arts festivals, picnics, and a connection to like minded individuals in the greater Calgary area. The gardeners are active with a season opening and closing gathering as well as fundraising events throughout the season. Each paying member helps care for the Garden with specific tasks or general care. Updated July 2020.

The NHCA community gardens are dedicated to bringing together neighbours to provide locally grown food for their families, the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank and other interested groups.  The garden promotes community, organic growing methods and a sense of shared responsibility and team work. The Parkdale Garden and Gathering Space is about more than gardening – it's about planting the seeds of community. Our aim is to add to the cultural experience and vibrant energy of our community by offering a venue for many kinds of wonderful activities, along with pure gardening. With one of the best established community food forests in the city, The Parkdale Garden and Gathering Space offers bountiful rows of haskaps, rhubarb, currants, and raspberries. Updated June 2022

The Parkland community garden was established in 2009. With the assistance of our funders, anda lot of effort from garden members and residents, the garden was constructed using wooden frames and filled with soil and compost.The community garden has proved to be a positive endeavor for our community; it is a gathering place where residents get to know one another while attending to their plots. The garden is popular attraction and each year there are residents who asked to be placed on the waiting list in the event of a gardener who decides to not rent their plot for another year. The Renfrew Community Garden initiative is in it's very early life. Just like any garden, the Renfrew Community Garden needs vision, planning, nurturing, attention, love and patience. There is a lot to do... so we are counting on a lot of community support.  Firstly, we need gardeners and visionaries.  We need carpenters and truck drivers.  We need treasurers and secretaries.  The list goes on and on, so in other words, we need YOU!  Let's get our hands dirty!!
