Paediatrician-in-Chief, The Hospital for Sick Children

Dr. Denis Daneman is Paediatrician-in-Chief at The Hospital for Sick Children and Chair of the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto. Dr. Daneman has enhanced our understanding and treatment of diabetes and endocrine disorders through his over thirty years spent engaged in research and care. As a national leader in child health, Dr. Daneman is also actively engaged in health system improvement through participation on numerous committees. Building on his deep commitment to training and mentorship, as leader of the largest department of paediatrics in Canada he is also fostering the development of the next generation of academic clinicians.
