About Me


Professor Cristina Amon is Dean of the University of Toronto's Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. Her research has advanced the scientific foundation of heat transfer enhancement by flow destabilization, and she has made pioneering contributions to concurrent thermal designs, innovation in electronics cooling and transient thermal management of wearable computers. She has served numerous professional societies with distinction, and demonstrated exceptional dedication to outreach and to diversity in engineering. While at Carnegie Mellon she developed two engineering outreach programs for under-represented groups, and has made great strides in increasing diversity within Engineering at U of T since her appointment as Dean.
