Professor Chris Kennedy is the founding Chair of the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Victoria. He has produced highly cited research on sustainable infrastructure and cities, and consulted for several national governments, the UN and the World Bank. In 2011, he was seconded to the OECD in Paris, serving the Working Party on Climate Investment and Development. He has been a visiting professor at Oxford University and ETH Zürich. He has been President of the International Society for Industrial Ecology, and is author of The Evolution of Great World Cities: Urban Wealth and Economic Growth.
