About Me


Brent Smith has for almost twenty years carried significant responsibilities in the technically exacting nuclear power industry, at the Point Lepreau Generating Station. In addition to his day job, he has made outstanding contributions to the engineering profession through his extensive volunteer service, both provincially and nationally. In addition to leading numerous committees and high profile task forces, he was elected as President of Engineers and Geoscientists New Brunswick in 2005, and elected as President of Engineers Canada in 2011. He is respected by peers across Canada as a consummate professional and a progressive leader, and was recognized in 2008 as a Fellow of Engineers Canada.
