Alex Jadad works to improve health and wellness for all, through innovative uses of information and communication technologies. As a medical student, he became a leading expert on cocaine in Colombia. Holder of a PhD from Oxford University on how to make sense of large amounts of health information, he developed the most widely used tool to assess clinical trials in the world known as “The Jadad Scale”. He leads the Centre for Global eHealth Innovation at the University of Toronto that is both a simulator of the health system of the future; and a virtual platform for global collaboration.
