Professor Arthur Pelton, École Polytechnique, is a recognized authority in the basic science and industrial engineering of chemical thermodynamics, and related sophisticated computer systems. He is an original co-developer of the FACT thermodynamic computer system which regularly serves more than 400 industrial and academic clients around the world, including many of the largest multinationals. Arthur Pelton has developed unique computerized methods for simultaneous optimization of thermodynamic data and phase diagrams, applied to hundreds of solutions of salts, alloys, oxides, etc. He has also served as associate editor of several scientific journals and has received many national and international awards.
