Dr. David Hill is a Professor at The University of Western Ontario and Scientific Director of the Lawson Health Research Institute, London. His research has focused on mechanisms for pancreatic islet regeneration, and how an adverse environment in utero and can program a lifelong risk of obesity and type 2 diabetes. He has made long-standing contributions to original research and international, national and provincial research leadership and advocacy. He has provided national leadership in the health charity sector as Chair of the Board of Directors, Canadian Diabetes Association, and in national advocacy leadership as Chair of Research Canada.
