Part of the company’s Master Series of HVAC/R solutions, the NP12DA1 Ammonia Vacuum Pump combines protection with power via an impressive flow rate of 12cfm for fast, heavy duty performance.

Anhydrous (dehydrated) ammonia, which is commonly used in industrial facilities as a refrigerant for cooling and freezing, is a highly corrosive substance. In fact, its widespread use as a refrigerant is one reason why vacuum pumps have, historically, been considered disposable HVAC tools. The new NAVAC Ammonia Vacuum Pump pushes back against this wasteful trend with a stainless-steel inlet port and corrosion-resistant pump, protecting against ammonia’s adverse effects for a significantly lengthened product lifespan.

Sectors in which ammonia-based refrigerants are prevalent include meat, poultry, and fish processing facilities; dairy and ice cream plants; fruit juice, vegetable juice, and soft drink processing facilities; cold storage warehouses; and petrochemical facilities. Ice rinks also frequently utilize anhydrous ammonia.
