Professional Biography
I have received training in working with mild closed head brain injuries and the use of neurotherapy accompaning the psychotherapy work which is necessary. I have had training through a workshop with Dr. Bessel vander Kolk. Also I have some training in Somatic Experiencing. During the war in Iraq I worked with returning members of the national gaurd who were strugling with PTSD in adjusting to being home. Recently I have found the work of Laurence Heller, PhD. (NARM) NeuroAffectiveRelational Model provides very useful guidance when working with older patients who have experienced childhood traumas. I have been in practice over thity five years.
