The Lake Bonavista Community Association Field Garden is a grass roots community garden development built in 2019 with 27 full sized rentable beds. Their goal is to encourage community wellness thru the growing of organic vegetables and to improve the shared quality of life in our community. Currently groups such as Bonavista Cares (for Calgary Food Bank) and Andrew Sibbald School participate for educational learning experiences.
There is a minimal volunteer obligation for all gardeners to upkeep the grounds and monitor the compsting.
Our garden members occasionally meet for garden tea gatherings, group harvests and - coming soon - an annua BBQ.
