We are a Junior A hockey team that is a proud member of the National Junior Hockey league(NJHL) in Lac la Biche. The NJHL is comprised of 6 teams; Vulcan, Mayerthorpe(Northern Alberta Lightning), High Prairie, Gibbons, Fox Creek and Edson. For the 2024/25 Season Lac la Biche and Crowsnest Pass will be added to the Northern and Southern division of the league. Our athletes in our league are committed fulltime athletes who are very serious about their careers and use our league as a stepping stone to College(ACHA div 1, NCAA, ACAA) and Professional ranks in Europe and the United States.
The Lac la Biche Junior A hockey team is committed to bringing high quality entertainment to the Lac la Biche and district community. We require our atheletes to be possitive ambassadors to the community and to volunteer in the community regularily(1-2 times a week minimum). Local players will be identified, recruited and integrated into the team as an important factor in integrating our franchise into the hockey community. However, it is our job as a proud member of the NJHL to seek out the best talent that we can acquire to be a part of our culture as our team's scouts will be seeking committed and serious athletes and community role models from around the world and other provinces. This method will ensure that we have the capability to be a championship contender every season and be a positive representation to the Lac la Biche and district community.
