About Us

Tree Trust was established by the Elora Environment Centre in June 2019 as a way to help some of the important trees in our community. Little did we know that in less than two years, five more Chapters would adopt the program to preserve their own local trees.

Since launching, we have stewarded 10 trees – from a Sugar Maple famously planted by Canada’s first archeologist David Boyle, to a tree planted in honour of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, we are proud to be preserving the natural heritage which defines Centre Wellington as a community. You can learn about all of the trees we’ve cared for here.
