About Me
Qianhui Xu, aka Joyce, is a freelance script supervisor. She chose to study filmmaking after being profoundly impacted by a documentary film during a 2018 film festival viewing experience. Prior to moving to the United States, she worked for Jingle Ma, a Hong Kong Film Award and Golden Horse Award-winning DP, director, and producer. She honed her script-supervising skills under the tutelage of a veteran 1st AD who spent ten years working in the crew of Hong Kong's renowned director Hark Tsu.
In 2021, Qianhui enrolled in American University's Film and Media Production program, seeking to develop into a more knowlegeble filmmaker with a broader range of film skills.
Qianhui has dabbled in Graphic Design and Photography in addition to her story writing, short film directing, Sony Film Camera operating, and film recording abilities. Curiosity and attentiveness are two of her most prized personal characteristics.
